Stanford Contemplation by Design Summit

Mindfulness of passing mental states is great – but it is not enough to grow traits of resilience, happiness, and compassion. Due to its “negativity bias,” the brain is like Velcro for negative experiences but Teflon for positive ones. This talk will explore practical ways to turn ordinary experiences into inner resources hardwired into the nervous system. Then daily life is full of opportunities for lasting healing, growth, and transformation.


Free events will be offered Nov. 1-9, 2017 to further balance, tranquility, resilience, and creative excellence. CBD Summit participants will have the opportunity to take a break from their high-level output of productivity and innovation in order to rest and renew the mind-body-spirit. Registration begins on Sept. 12, 2017 when each session listed below becomes a live link. All sessions are FREE, yet registration is required for planning purposes.
