Neurodharma Workshop at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, Woodacre, CA

June 14, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm PDT

$75 – $200

Throughout history, people have sought the heights of human potential—to become as wise and strong, happy and loving, as any person can ever be. And now, thanks to recent science, we’re finding how these remarkable ways of being are based on equally remarkable changes in our own nervous system.

Join New York Times bestselling author Rick Hanson, PhD, to learn how to strengthen the neural circuitry of deep contentment and profound inner peace. Based on teachings from his new book Neurodharma: New Science, Ancient Wisdom, and Seven Practices of the Highest Happiness, this experiential workshop will provide you with methods for cultivating and embodying unshakable presence of mind, a courageous heart, and serenity in a changing world.

This experiential workshop will offer user-friendly information with lots of practical methods and opportunities to ask questions. No background in neuroscience or mindfulness is needed. We’ll cover: the relationship between body and mind, mind and brain; strengthening neural factors of mindfulness, warmheartedness, fullness, wholeness, nowness, allness, and timelessness.

Teachings are appropriate for health care professionals as well as the general public. Health care professionals will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways beneficial to clients or patients. Continuing Education (CE) credit available. See below for attendance requirements and more information.
