Rick Hanson, Ph.D. will facilitate an all-day workshop at Spirit Rock Meditation Center based on his recently released book, Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakable Core of Calm, Strength, and Happiness (March 2018).
The world is volatile and unreliable. So it’s vital to develop durable psychological resources such as grit, gratitude, and compassion: the inner core that remains unshaken no matter what life brings. This is true resilience, the foundation of lasting well-being in a changing world and at the heart of the Buddhist idea of equanimity.
Teachings are appropriate for health care professionals as well as the general public. Health care professionals will be able to incorporate the tools and practices offered in this program in ways that improve patient/client care. Continuing Education (CE) credit is available.
