I’ve created four audio programs with Sounds True that you can use to change your own brain for the better, slowly but surely from the inside out. They are suitable for experienced meditators as well as a great introduction to the new sciences of the mind. No background in neuroscience is necessary.
The first is called Meditations for Happiness, three CD’s worth of material, including 14 guided meditations with scientifically-grounded explanations, to give you an enduring experience of unconditional happiness.
This is an inexpensive download that will come right to your computer (which you can also transfer it to an iPod or other mp3 player) or a newly available 3 CD set. I had a lot of fun making this program, and I think you will really like it.
The topics include:

- Taking refuge in what’s reliable, in the “safe harbors” of what you can truly count on
- Coming home to happiness

The second program is Meditations to Change Your Brain. I created it with Richard Mendius, MD; he’s a seasoned neurologist and my long-time teaching partner – as well as someone with a huge heart and lots of practical wisdom. This program has 3 CD’s with lots of cutting edge science, as well as numerous guided meditations. The topics include:
- Steadying your mind, to tap the full creative power of your attention
- Taking in the good, to maintain a positive emotional landscape
- Antidotes to stress, a conscious way to activate your body’s relaxation response
- Healing painful experiences, to free yourself from the charge of negative memories

Stress-Proof Your Brain was released in November 2010. In a nutshell, it’s about how to train your brain for happiness and thereby free yourself from chronic stress.

Awaken Your Brain was recorded as a live event and offers a six-part journey through methods to activate and strengthen the neural circuits that promote confidence, positive moods, resilience, loving-kindness, and inner peace.
